Looking for truly free images that come with commercial usage rights you can use for your low content and no content KDP books? Below are a list of sites I have used to access free pics. Please always check the licensing policies for yourself BEFORE using an image, as policies can change. Some sites require you to credit the original author, some don’t. I recommend always adding a credit to the creator of any image you use, as it’s a respectful and appreciative gesture, anything free for use is thank-able in my opinion.
Websites To Find Free Commercial Use Images
- Pixabay – This is my ultimate go to site for really great, high quality images. This is the site where I have found most of my images for use in my low content KDP books. It’s free to sign up and the variety and selection of photos is out of this world!
- Pexels – Very similiar to Pixabay. Lots of free to use commercial rights images.
- Freepic – This site has a ton of free images, I believe at the time of this writing, they do require attribution to the image creators. There are also premium images on this site you can pay for, and they have a few different pricing plans if you are interested.
- Flickr Commons – A collection of images under the Creative Commons.
- Unsplash – This is a huge collection of free to use for just about anything images. You can read more about Unsplash’s License here.
- Canva – My all time favorite, easiest to use, online graphic tool that has so many awesome images, backgrounds and font combinations. Many of the images you find on Canva are free, but some are not, and can only be accessed with a paid subscription of Canva Pro, which I believe at the time of this writing is $9.95 per month. You can do so many great things with Canva. I made all my book covers in Canva when I first started out in low content publishing. I even made an interior for one of my log books in Canva. I honestly cannot say enough good about this program. If you are at all serious about low content book publishing, you really should check out Canva!
