A few things to consider when tracking your sales and royalties on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP):
Keep An Eye on Your Sales Rank
Your book’s sales rank is a measure of its sales performance compared to other books on KDP. You can view your book’s sales rank on the book’s detail page on Amazon.com and in the KDP Sales Dashboard. A higher sales rank (the lower the number, the higher the rank) indicates better sales performance. By tracking your book’s sales rank, you can get an idea of how well your book is selling and how it compares to other books in your genre or category.
Monitor Your Book’s Customer Reviews
Customer reviews can be a good indicator of how well your book is performing and what readers think of it. You can view your book’s customer reviews on the book’s detail page on Amazon.com. By monitoring your book’s customer reviews, you can get an idea of what readers like about your book and what they think could be improved.
Utilize the KDP Select Program
KDP Select is a program that allows you to make your book exclusive to KDP and participate in promotional opportunities like Kindle Unlimited and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. By enrolling your book in KDP Select, you can track your book’s borrows and page reads in addition to your sales and royalties. This can be a good way to get an idea of how well your book is performing on KDP and to take advantage of additional promotional opportunities.
Don’t Get Discouraged
As a self-published author, it can be easy to get discouraged if you don’t see immediate success with your writing. But it’s important to remember that publishing is a long game, and it takes time and effort to build an audience and sell books. Don’t give up on your writing and publishing journey! Instead, stay motivated by setting realistic goals for yourself and celebrating your progress, no matter how small.
Surround yourself with supportive people who encourage and inspire you, and don’t be afraid to seek out help and resources when you need them. And most importantly, keep writing and keep publishing. Every book you publish is a step closer to reaching your goals and achieving success as a self-published author. So don’t give up, keep pushing forward, and never lose sight of your passion for writing.

Hi! If you go to your book’s listing on Amazon, and scroll down to the section where you see ‘Best Seller Rank’, I see your book is currently at “12,890 in Kindle Store” on Amazon.in. Number 1 being the top book, your book is the 12,890th. That’s the sales position. I am not sure what you mean by response. Do you mean feedback? If so, you can see all feedback to your book on its listing page at the bottom.
