Derek is the creator of Excuse Proof Fitness (excuseproof.com), a website that specializes in helping people overcome their fitness challenges and start living a healthy lifestyle. Writer of fitness, recipe and diet books, Derek helps his readers wade through all the conflicting health information out there, and shares with us what finally worked for him.

1. Tell us a little about your background.

I’m a musician and fitness enthusiast who’s been studying fitness, psychology, and personal development for the last 10 years.

2. Why did you become a writer?

I became a writer to share the insights I’ve learned that have had the biggest impact on transforming my life with others.
