How To Get A Book Published On Kindle

How To Get A Book Published On KindleThis is one of my favorite topics of all time! I love publishing on Amazon Kindle, and in this post, I’m going to give you the basics of how to go about publishing a book on Kindle.

With Amazon’s KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), you are literally your own publisher.  One of the greatest things about being your own publisher is you get to keep 100% total control over your book.

Publishing takes less than five minutes, and your book appears on Amazon in less than 24 hours. You can distribute your book anywhere in the world, earn 70% royalties, publish in multiple languages, and make your book available on all Kindle devices and free Kindle apps.

Getting Started

To publish on Kindle, you need an Amazon account and a supported book file ready for upload.

Simply log in to KDP  and navigate to your bookshelf to add a new title.

Here you will see options to enter your book title, subtitle, series title, your book’s description, age and grade ranges, contributors, languages, publication date, publisher,  ISBN number, categories, keywords, and images.

You will also see the book file uploader on this page too.

Once you hit publish, give Amazon about 24 hours, sometimes less to get your book up and running, and there you have it! Your book is now officially published on Kindle.
